Press release - Structured Digitization of Image-Based Invoices and Delivery Notes Using Artificial Intelligence

Alias Innovations Kft. has been awarded a non-refundable grant of HUF 34.85 million from the European Union under the Széchenyi Plan Plus program, for the implementation of the project identified as DIMOP_PLUSZ-1.1.2/A-24-2025-00053.

The goal of the system under development is to create an AI-based solution capable of automatically processing invoices, delivery notes, and receipts of various formats and converting them into structured data. Input documents may be photographs, scanned images, text-based PDFs, or Word files. The final output of the system is a well-structured format, such as an Excel spreadsheet or a CSV file, that can be easily integrated into other business systems.

We aim to make the document-processing system available as a web service, allowing users to upload and process files. The system works as follows: the user uploads a document through the web interface, which is forwarded to the processing engine via a message queue. The artificial intelligence performs preprocessing, structure recognition, and data extraction, then saves the result in multiple formats so that it can be downloaded and further used. As a result of the development, a scalable, AI-based document-processing system will be created that significantly reduces administrative burdens and enables the automatic, structured processing of invoices and receipts from various sources.
